History Trivial Links
Compiled by Nathan Mattise
- (The first time was so successful why not do it again?) In Democratic news, Obama t-shirts are showing up everywhere. You could find them on Talib’s DJ at Juice Jam and also on sale via The National. Obama’s DNC speech is also available for reading complete with analysis.
- On the RNC side of things, apparently Sarah Palin wasn’t a surprise selection if you followed the “most edited” Wikipedia entries. Also speaking of Palin, even the Huffington Post admits that some of the best investigative journalism about her selection came via Comedy Central. (Check out the author of that blog by the way).
- One more journalistic innovation, Wired magazine has a profile of their ongoing effort to profile Charlie Kaufman (creator of my favorite movie).
- Finally, it might not be historic if you live outside of Scranton, Pa. but Cooper’s Seafood House is ready for its TV debut.
