Trivial Links: Thanks to tribute bands, you can still witness music history.

History Trivial Links

  • Anyone familiar with music history knows Led Zeppelin, and anyone familiar with Led Zeppelin history knows you couldn’t see them in concert during my lifetime (RIP John Bonham). Classic-rock obsessed twentysomethings can however see Zeppelin music performed live with only one difference – “d” for “z.” Lez Zeppelin is an all-female Led Zeppelin tribute band currently touring the country. Their music is pretty solid and as Chuck Klosterman noted, it’s always interesting to observe a tribute band.
  • Every History Trivial Links will feature a journalism link – since everyone keeps telling me the industry will soon be history.  PBS offers 10 reasons everyone is full of crap.

(Links today found via: History Channel, CNN.com, TCritic.com, Brooklyn Vegan and Wikipedia)
